Montessori Refresher Courses/Workshops

OfficeMontessori Teachers, Supervisors and Practitioners at every level can benefit from in-service training and upskilling in Montessori Philosophy and material presentation, all Montessori practitioners and providers are welcome. Refresh and upskill in all Montessori areas:

Practical Life, Sensorial,  Maths,  Language,  Cultural 1,  Culture 2.

Each one day workshop which will be held on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, will introduce a specific subject area as listed above, with the Montessori Philosophy behind the material and a detailed practical demonstration and approach to its correct sequence, extension exercises and use. Emphasis will be given to the benefits of the materials in a child's progress, for examples the of concentration and character development.

The layout of the scientificaly prepared environment and purpose of Montessori materials, related to the readyness of the child and its control of error will be explored. In each session the fundamental presentation and the three period lesson will be reiterated. The principals of Síolta and Aistear curriculum will be discussed in relation to Montessori Philosophy and curriculum. There will be opportunity to answer questions regarding the changing structure in Montessori schools and what is best practice in terms of work/play within the Montessori environment and the important benefits of collaboration with parents.

Muintir Na Leanaí - Community supporting the journey of children

There are new purpose built facilities and play areas, Tusla, Aistear and Síolta, Childcare Regulations, Qualification requirements, Garda Vetting and structures for child protection, plus the 2 years free preschool programme which are all clearly visible. There are many other changes in the area of childcare in Ireland and one of these is the growth of facilities offering a Montessori programme. 

Muintir Na Leanaí in-service Montessori refresher courses offers training and support, to refresh and upskill Montessori practitioners in all Montessori rooms and facilities delivering Montessori programmes throughout the country. These one day Montessori Workshops will deliver professional training and support by expert and experienced Montessori trainers to Montessori Providers nationwide, irrespective of their training background or affiliation. Providers of Montessori services can avail of these services in localised areas - numbers permitting - in any county, expressions of interest are welcome from individuals and facility managers. On completion of the workshop all attendees will receive an Muintir Na Leanaí Attendance Certification.
